In 2009, I founded e-mission after realising the significant impact the European Directive for the Performance of Buildings would have in the UK. My entry into the energy efficiency sector began with obtaining a Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessments, swiftly followed by a Level 4 in Commercial Assessments. Equipped with this expertise, I recognised the importance of collaboration for success. By fostering strong relationships with commercial agents, architectural firms, building contractors, planners, and developers, e-mission has become a trusted name in energy and carbon consulting.
The enactment of the 2008 Climate Act, which set ambitious targets to reduce the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions, further solidified my dedication to sustainability. In 2015, when the UK Government introduced the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) for SMEs, I saw an opportunity to expand our services. By becoming the 9th person in the UK accredited by Quidos for ESOS assessments, I have had the privilege of auditing and advising hundreds of SMEs across the UK and Europe, assisting them in reducing energy consumption, carbon emissions, and costs.
Today, I firmly believe that business collaboration is essential, and I am grateful for the continued support of the many partners who have joined us on this journey. Together, we are making strides toward a more sustainable future, one building and business at a time.
